COMMUNITY

The Greek Orthodox parish of Saint George has as its religious centre the beautiful and historic church building, located in the heart of the city of Toronto alongside other historic parishes. At Saint George’s we celebrate the Divine Liturgy every Sunday and on special holy days. The parish has an active altar boy group composed of boys from the ages of 8 to 18.

From October to May, our Sunday School offers a fun learning experience for the children between the ages of 6-12. We hope to accomplish this through age-appropriate crafts, songs, discussion and group activities and attending Liturgy. To register, please fill out the PDF form and email it to the church office.

The parish is administered by a board of directors who volunteer their time and energy in order to keep the community running smoothly. In addition, the women’s auxiliary “Philoptochos” society actively organizes numerous church functions, as well as provides help to members of the community in need.

Throughout the year the parish offers various community events and functions, including luncheons and lectures.

Saint George’s is the mother church of the Greek Diaspora in Ontario. We welcome and encourage all who are interested in becoming involved in community, heritage and faith.
